2. Principle

This website is deliberately built to collect as little as possible. It sets no cookies, embeds no third-party content, uses no analytics or tracking tools and contains no forms. There is consequently no consent banner. There is nothing to consent to.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website and the mailbox florian@batoon.ai are operated by Hostinger. The processor is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The server holding the website and the mailbox is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

When the site is accessed, the hosting provider automatically collects data transmitted by your browser and stores it in log files:

  • truncated or full IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • name and URL of the file retrieved
  • referrer URL
  • browser used, its version and the operating system

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free operation and the security of the website. This data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted automatically after a short period.

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hostinger. It forms part of the Terms of Service as a Data Processing Addendum and applies on acceptance of those terms. It expressly covers the email services. Document dated 18 August 2026, available at hostinger.com/legal/dpa.

4. Sub-processors and transfers to third countries

Hostinger uses sub-processors. These include Cloudflare, Inc., based in the United States, and MailChannels Corporation, based in Canada. Personal data may therefore be transferred to countries outside the EU and the European Economic Area.

Hostinger bases these transfers on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, Modules Two and Three. For transfers to the United Kingdom, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum applies in addition. The current list of sub-processors is set out in Appendix 3 of the Data Processing Addendum.

5. Fonts

For headings and the wordmark this website uses the typeface Outfit (SIL Open Font License 1.1). The font files are stored on the same server as the website and loaded from there. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other font network, and no data is transferred to third parties for it. Body text uses fonts already present on your operating system.

6. Contact by email

If you write to me by email, I process your details solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The messages are held on Hostinger's mail servers, so sections 3 and 4 apply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding. I delete this data once the matter is closed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. External links

This website links to external services, including LinkedIn. Clicking such a link takes you away from this site. The operator of the target site alone is responsible for data processing there. No content from these providers is embedded in this website, so no data is transmitted without action on your part.

8. Encryption

For security reasons this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar starting with “https://”.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to

  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
